Lethe or Oblivion
Still inspired by the characters from the Praise of Folly.
In Greek Mythology Lethe is one of Hades' rivers in the underworld. It is believed to cause forgetfulness to anyone who drinks from it. Lethe is also known in the myths as a naiad or a nymph who presided over fountains, wells, springs, streams, and brooks. In other words, freshwater dwellers as opposed to the Oceanids and Nereids who inhabited the seas and oceans.
